Spartan Latin American Championship (Aug 2)
The 2026 Latin American Championship landed in Ciudad de Mexico for a high-altitude 21K Beast that saw host-nation athletes execute a total podium sweep. Ciro Pérez took the men’s crown in 1:45:37, while Claudia Piva clinched a dramatic victory in the women’s elite field (2:12:11), holding off Eloisa Godinez Romero by a razor-thin 13-second margin.
History was also made off the elite line: Spartan hosted the first-ever Kids LATAM Championship, marking a massive milestone for the sport's next generation.

Spartan APAC Championship & Kids World Championship (Aug 8–15)
Chongli, China, transformed into the epicenter of Asian obstacle course racing. At the APAC Championship (Aug 15), Chinese men dominated the Beast course with Dai Longsheng taking 1st (2:18:29). Australia’s Joanna Hepton continued her global dominance, claiming the women’s APAC crown in 2:35:04.
Earlier in the month, Chongli’s Yunding Snow Park hosted the Spartan Kids World Championship (Aug 9), welcoming a record-breaking 350+ young athletes from 16 nations competing on sub-plateau mountain terrain.

Spartan Lahti: Para World Championship & Finland Championship (Aug 22)
Framed by Lahti’s iconic Ski Jump towers, over 2,500 athletes descended on Salpausselkä's ridges for a historic weekend.
Fourteen adaptive athletes competed in the Spartan Para World Championship over a 10K Super course. Ukrainian Vladyslav Chechur (PO4) set the fastest overall time of the day in 1:15:46, while wheelchair athlete Thomas Delattre (PO1) conquered the course in 3:57:35. Great Britain’s Dawn Jolleys captured the PO5 visually impaired title in 1:49:47.
In the Finland National Championship Beast, Czech athletes crashed the party: European Champion Richard Hynek won the men’s race in 1:40:51, while veteran Zuzana Kocumová locked up the women’s title in 1:49:47.

Tie-Breaks, Photo-Finishes, and Torrential Downpours
Australia National Series Finale: Melbourne Sprint (Aug 8)
The Australian series ended with pure mathematics. In the men's series, Dylan Pardy and Adrian Jannenga finished tied on 564 points. With head-to-head wins split 1–1, the series came down to combined time across shared races: Pardy’s 1:19:44 beat Jannenga’s 1:20:45 by a razor-thin 61 seconds.
For the women, Joanna Hepton swept the series with a perfect 600 points. Behind her, a tie for 2nd between Montana Jonker and Jennifer Hynes (500 pts each) was decided by a 4-minute, 38-second combined time advantage in Jonker's favor.

Canada National Series: Red Deer Beast (Aug 8)
Bringing back the 21K Beast for the first time since 2021, Red Deer delivered a blistering course along the Red Deer River. Austin Azar won an epic sprint finish over Ethan Paupst, separated by just 8 seconds (1:57:51 to 1:57:59). Kassidee Bur claimed a clear win in the women's elite field (2:18:10). The series concludes at Blue Mountain on Oct 17.
Philippine National Series: Agoo Beast (Aug 8)
Relentless monsoon rains turned the Agoo course into a floating battlefield of surging river currents and slick mud. Local legend Ruel Algufera mastered the elements to take the men's win in 2:28:08, while Silamie Gutang survived a punishing 3:38:55 effort to claim the women's Beast title.
Fast Tracks & Late-August Sprints
UK National Series: South West (Aug 16)
Staged on the flat, historic grounds of Badminton Estate, racers set incredible paces. Daniel Titcomb took gold for the men (1:28:22), beating Roman Tóth, while Becky Neal crossed first for the women in 1:49:47.
Germany/Austria Series: Berlin Sprint (Aug 30)
Christian Röttger set the record straight in Berlin, winning the high-velocity Sprint leg in 29:16 ahead of Christian Kraus. Laura Kirsch took the women’s crown in 37:38.
CEU Regional Series Finale: Bielsko-Biala, Poland (Aug 30)
The Central European Regional Series reached its conclusion in Poland. Fresh off his 2nd-place finish in Finland, Czech Republic's Jakub Kolár snagged the race victory in Poland (1:06:58) ahead of Ján Vladár (1:08:25). On the women's side, Slovakia's Eszter Hortobágyiová put on a dominant display to capture 1st place in 1:25:08.
With the final points tallied across the entire regional calendar, Ján Vladár and Eszter Hortobágyiová officially crowned their stellar seasons by taking home the overall titles as the 2026 CEU Regional Series Champions!
