Week of Giving is a U.S. fundraising campaign led by Spartan with GiveStar, the official fundraising partner connecting donors directly with each participating charity. Throughout the week, the Spartan community can learn about the people and causes behind the campaign, then choose where to make a contribution through the Spartan Week of Giving page. The goal is to direct $100,000 toward organizations removing barriers for young people, supporting veterans and military families, helping survivors and strengthening communities. CHOOSE YOUR CAUSE
Children and youth
Spartan Kids Foundation
Spartan Kids Foundation helps underserved children build fitness, confidence and resilience through inclusive race experiences, training and school programs. By reducing financial and access barriers, the Foundation gives more kids the opportunity to get active, take on a challenge and experience a Spartan finish line.
Active Plus at Citi Field
At Citi Field, 100 young people from Active Plus took on a Spartan Race, many for the first time. Students cheered for one another through the obstacles and discovered what they could accomplish with encouragement from their teammates and volunteers.
“I'm excited about competing and just running, putting all my energy into it.”
Active Plus participant
Active Plus uses fitness, nutrition, mindfulness and leadership programs to support young people across New York City. Spartan Kids Foundation helped turn those lessons into a shared race-day experience built around movement, confidence and belonging.
Fit Kids at Dodger Stadium
At Dodger Stadium, Fit Kids Foundation athletes faced the Spartan course, many for the first time. They climbed, crawled and pushed through every obstacle together before crossing the finish line with medals around their necks.
The race gave these young athletes more than a day of competition. It gave them a chance to build confidence, test their limits and feel part of a team. Spartan Kids Foundation helped make their participation possible.
More start lines opened
In 2025, 80 After School All Stars participated in a Spartan Kids Race. Their team described the experience as a way to build confidence, resilience and lasting memories. At Fenway, 250 Scouts also participated as Spartan Foundation guests, bringing another group of young people onto the course.

Mission 22
Mission 22 provides veterans, spouses and families with programs that support long-term wellness and recovery. Its free offerings combine coaching, movement, mindfulness, daily structure and community support to help participants work toward sustainable growth after service.
Programs such as Recovery and Resiliency pair veterans and spouses with practical tools and continued support, while virtual resources make elements of that approach available wherever participants live.
Blue Star Families
Blue Star Families strengthens military families by connecting them with neighbors, resources and programs in the communities where they live. Its work addresses challenges created by frequent moves, separation, food insecurity and the need to rebuild a sense of belonging.
Finding community outdoors
At a recent Blue Star Outdoors event, one parent watched her daughter, who usually hesitated to go outside or play with other children, join the group and enjoy connecting with other kids. The program brings military families together through outdoor experiences across 13 communities, helping children make friends and parents find support after a move.
Blue Star Families also operates Nourish the Service, which connects military families facing food insecurity with community food distributions, local resources and chapter food pantries.
Stop Soldier Suicide
Stop Soldier Suicide focuses exclusively on preventing suicide among United States veterans and service members. Its ROGER wellness service provides free, confidential virtual counseling, crisis intervention and safety planning, supported by research and data designed to identify people at greatest risk.
The organization currently reports helping more than 3,400 veterans and service members, with more than 90 percent of at-risk clients completing a crisis response plan and 73 percent experiencing fewer suicidal thoughts during treatment.
