1. Race on Historic, Groovy Grounds
Welcome to our grooviest venue yet. This race takes place at the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts—the very site of the legendary 1969 Woodstock festival. You will be crushing obstacles and testing your limits on the same hallowed grounds that made music history.
2. A Flat and Fast Course
If you want to set a new personal record, this is the place to do it. Unlike the brutal mountain climbs of other venues, this course is flat, fast, and incredibly scenic. You will navigate classic Spartan obstacles across the rolling hills of upstate New York, racing through serene forests, grassy meadows, and open trails.
3. The Ultimate Camping Experience
Why commute on race morning when you can wake up right next to the action? This event offers incredible on-site camping options at The Campground at Bethel Woods. Whether you are bringing your RV or pitching a tent for car camping, you can turn your race weekend into a full-blown outdoor getaway with your fellow Spartans.
4. Distances for Every Level
Whether you are a seasoned elite or a first-timer, there is a starting line for you. The weekend features a fast and fierce Sprint (5K, 20 obstacles) on Saturday and Sunday, a challenging Super (10K, 25 obstacles) on Saturday, and Kids Races (1-3km) all weekend long. There is even a dedicated Obstacle Workshop on Friday to help you dial in your technique before race day.
5. An Epic Festival Vibe
Given the history of the venue, you can expect an unforgettable atmosphere. Once you cross the finish line and secure your medal, you can celebrate your achievements amidst the pulsating energy of the Spartan festival area. With music, beer gardens, and jubilation, the post-race celebration perfectly channels the spirit of Bethel Woods.
Stop waiting and start training.
