What time will H3X begin and finish?

Check in will begin at 6:30 AM on June 25, 2027. Warm-ups will begin at 7:15 AM and the event will officially kick off at 8:00 AM. Do not be late. The HH4 portion will conclude approximately 12:00 PM, the HH12 portion will conclude approximately 10:00 PM, and the HH24 portion will conclude approximately 9:00 AM on June 26.

What will I receive if I finish the tier in which I sign up for?

You will receive a finisher’s tee shirt and a medal with hex insert.. You will also get to keep your participation bib.

Will there be required items I need to bring?

Yes, the Mandatory Gear List will be shared no less than 21 days before the event.

Why is this event non-refundable and non-tranferrable?

This is a unique event that requires extra planning, supplies, and staffing so we can’t refund if your plans change.

Is parking available?

Yes. • Mandatory parking fee: $20 • Cash only • On-site parking attendants will direct vehicles.

Question 6

What if I only want to do the Hurricane Heat 24 Hour?

Accepted Answer

In this case, you only need to register for the H3X Ticket Type. The Hurricane Heat 4 Hour and Hurricane Heat 12 Hour participants will be with you until their events conclude and then you will carry on. Good luck!

Question 7

If I sign up for the Hurricane Heat 4 Hour, can I modify my event duration after I get there?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. If you feel like you have more in you at the completion of the Hurricane Heat 4 Hour or Hurricane Heat 12 Hour and you want to continue, you will be allowed to carry on and will be charged the small up-charge at the end of the event. You may also upgrade your event online beforehand for a much quicker registration.

Question 8

Will I get the medal of the tier below if I continue, but do not complete it?

Accepted Answer

No. Participants must make the decision to continue and complete the next tier, or risk losing everything. For example, if the participant makes it through the Hurricane Heat 4 Hour and Hurricane Heat 12 Hour, but fails the Hurricane Heat 24 Hour, they will receive nothing. Anyone is welcome to stop at any time after one tier is complete and they will receive that tier&#x27;s finisher items, but they may not continue. Think of it like running a marathon. Completing 18 miles and quitting doesn&#x27;t get you a half marathon. It simply means you came 6.2 miles short of finishing the marathon and so go home empty-handed.

Question 9

If I complete all three tiers, will I get three medals, hexes, and shirts?

Accepted Answer

No. Participants only collect medals and shirts for successful completion of the highest tier they go for. So, for example, if a participant completes the Hurricane Heat and goes on to the Hurricane Heat 12 Hour and completes that, they will receive only the Hurricane Heat 12 Hour items. If they continue and do all 24 hours, they will receive only the Hurricane Heat 24 Hour items.

How does it work?

H3X functions as 3 stage Hurricane Heat, culminating in a Hurricane Heat 24 Hour. Participants Pre-Register for one of three events (4 Hour, 12 Hour, 24 Hour). They have the option to continue up to 24 Hours, but will be charged an additional amount post event. 1. Stage 1 is a Hurricane Heat 4 Hour. 2. Stage 2 continues for another eight hours into a Hurricane Heat 12 Hour (additional registration cost will be applied post event) 3. Stage 3 - Active participants have the option of continuing for another 12 hours to complete an Hurricane Heat 24 Hour (additional registration cost will be applied post event)

What is the course like?
